Sensor Endpoint
Where will you put yours? What might you discover? Could it change the world?
Connectivity
The Instant Detect 2.0 Sensor Endpoint contains a low power Long-Range (LoRa) radio. When powered on, the Sensor Endpoint will automatically connect to the nearest Base Station, and will then remain synchronised.
When triggered by a connected sensor, the Sensor Endpoint transmits a detection alert containing the time and device ID.
Covert Alerts
The Sensor Endpoint can be buried with only it’s antennas above ground. This enables threat detection at exposed sites where a camera would be too obvious.
Metal Detecting Sensor
The Sensor Endpoint is initially offered with the metal detecting sensor to transmit detection alerts when metal moves past the sensor.
Diagnostics
In Test Mode, the internal LCD screen can be seen through an aperture in the lid. The LCD screen will flash to indicate when the sensor has been triggered.
Access Tool
In Test Mode the Sensor Endpoint creates a WiFi portal that displays the Access Tool in any web browser. Users just need a smart phone, tablet or laptop handy. The Access Tool is used to change settings and check reports.
Layered Detection
When used in conjunction with Cameras and other Sensor Endpoints placed along likely movement routes or at infiltration points, Sensor Endpoint detection alerts can reveal direction of travel and the speed of movement of threats, while remaining completely hidden and discrete.
Binary (On/Off) Detections
The Sensor Endpoint’s 8-pin connector provides power to attached sensors and enables an array of inputs and outputs to be used. If a circuit is completed between two of these pins a detection alert is generated. This means any type of binary (on/off) detection is possible. Other trigger methods using pressure plates, gate or trap door open/close switches or even IR trip beams are being developed.
Additional Sensors
The Sensor Endpoint has a number of additional inputs and outputs that will enable more complex detections and monitoring to be achieved. With additional development it is planned to add compatibility with environmental sensors and acoustic loggers.
